4th of July means all things american. Celebrate your Independence from corporate greed and big business this year by supporting your local, hand-makers. Here's a made-in-the-USA roundup of etsy treats.
The thing is...when you're 42(okay, not that old, but a friend of mine, Beaux for some reason has it in his head that's how old I am), none of these cool US made sh*t looks good on you. Just make you look like you're trying too hard. I think in the dark I still look like I'm in my twenties, so maybe for a night out...
One part guerrilla environmentalist, one part fashionista, an Econista is an educated fashion forward individual who is more than just a pretty face! An Econista believes that style doesn’t need to come at a high price to the earth and to human beings. They care about the issues, seek out facts then find and support sustainable-style, or eco-chic, alternatives because they recognize the need for change is urgent. Econistas put their money where their mouth is by making meaningful purchases that benefit not only their fabulous looks, but their fight in the green revolution. Are you an Econista?
Either (1) made, at least in part, from recycled, organic or sustainable materials (2) made in the USA to reduce carbon footprint (3) complies with International Fair Trade practices or are handmade (4) are recycled pieces because that are bought used or vintage or are swapped.
